Both technologies can be set up in Prague. Which one it will be at a given address only becomes clear from the building itself.
The fastest option — in new developments and refurbished buildings the fibre reaches all the way into the flat. The speed holds up even in the evening, when all the neighbours are online. It can be set up where the building is already wired, or where the fibre can be brought in without knocking anything down.
An antenna on the roof or the balcony and a single cable to the modem. No trench across the garden and no drilling into the façade, so it suits listed buildings as well as family houses with a mature garden. 5G Ready, up to 250 Mb/s.
When there is no fibre in the building and there is no clear line of sight to the transmitter, a connection over the telephone line is what remains. It is slower and you share the line with the others in the building, but it tends to be available where the other technologies are not.
